The One That Works™ (TOTW)

YES! In fact, it is simple, and there is no installation required. Simply take the air purifier out of the box, removing the shipping brace, plug it in the electrical outlet and it is ready to use!

No. The unique “fountain airflow” sends the clean air towards the ceiling, and will not change the temperature of the salon air.

By determining the appropriate model for your salon, usually one unit is all that is required. For large salons with high ceilings and high levels of pollution, more than one unit may be required to maintain fresh air throughout the salon. Call us today for your free consultation 1-608-535-6239.

YES! “The One That Works™” is the only air purifier designed specifically for nail salons. Our consultation will result in a recommendation for the appropriate model for your salon. When your customers walk into your salon there will be no appreciable difference between the fresh air outside and the fresh air inside your salon.

The Salon chemical vapors are heavier than air and tend to migrate towards the floor. That is why the purifier should be placed on the floor, in the center of the Salon. Or, up against the wall towards the center of the Salon. Do NOT place the purifier in the corner of the room.

Very. The High Speed uses 135 Watts, and the Low Speed uses 90 Watts.

We recommend changing the carbon every 4 or 6 months to ensure optimal performance. If you have 3 nail technicians or under, and are not operating more than 8 hours a day, then you will need to change the carbon around every 6 months. If you have 3 or more nail tech’s and operate more than 8 hours a day, then we recommend you replace the carbon every 4 months.

No, the air purifier is only 15” tall and has a 16.5” diameter. It is also very easy to move around with the 3-wheel mobile cart available.

No, the outside dust filter is machine washable. Wash the dust filter approximately every 2 weeks or once per month. There are no filters or cartridges inside the unit to replace. Simply change the Activated Carbon at every 4 or 6 months (approximately 43 cents per day).

The room purifier has two speeds. The Low speed is very quiet, and is the standard setting. The High speed is louder and used for emergencies such as chemical spills and is used to clean the air quickly. On high speed the purifier sounds like an average residential fan.

We also offer source capture ventilation units which capture salon dusts and chemicals vapors at the technicians breathing zone. In addition, we have special filters for your HVAC system which remove salon dusts and chemical vapors from salon’s HVAC systems.

Hair Chemical Source Capture System (CSCS)

As a founding member of the Professional Keratin Hair Smoothing Council, – http://www.pksc.org/ – Aerovex Systems is the leading authority on minimizing formaldehyde exposure during keratin hair smoothing services. We developed our Chemical Source Capture System specifically to protect the breathing zone of stylists and clients during keratin hair smoothing services, and to prevent overexposure to formaldehyde vapors and fumes. In addition to proper ventilation, our consultation will provide you with FACTS on where and how the spikes in formaldehyde exposure occur, and teach you important techniques developed to prevent inhalation exposure.

We recommend changing the filters on a schedule every 4 or 6 months. Aerovex Systems recommends its Convenience Plan to schedule your filter shipments & changes. Typically, the filters should be changed after 120 hours of use. As a back up to remind you when its time to change the filters, our Healthy Air™ hair chemical source capture system is equipped with an electronic control panel featuring our exclusive filter change indicator which will alert you to change the filters when necessary. We have taken the guess work out of the appropriate filter changing frequency, rather than waiting for the performance of the unit to diminish, like some manufacturers recommend to determine when to change the filters.

Healthy Air™ hair chemical source capture systems are built from the ground up specifically for hair stylists. Other manufacturers units were originally designed for welding, soldering or other industrial applications, and have not taken into consideration the unique design feature requirements of hair stylists. We have sound levels below conversational speech, easy filter changing which eliminates unit dis-assembly and avoids messy carbon module emptying & re-filling, an electronic control panel featuring a filter change indicator, clear capture hood with LED lighting, more suction (CFM) than any other salon source capture system. Patented Healthy Air™ technology utilizing eHepa™ filtration holds and destroys microorganisms, loads slowly, and has less airflow restriction than standard Hepa filters. A high energy field enhances keratin hair smoothing formaldehyde vapor/fume and other hair chemical service vapor adsorption. And, the high energy field increases particle capture efficiency. eHepa™ vs. HEPA: Know the Difference http://www.healthyair.net

Aerovex Systems recommends taking a comprehensive “Three Zone Protection” approach towards proper keratin hair smoothing, and other hair chemical service salon ventilation. This includes use of our “The One That Works™” salon room air purifier designed specifically to remove salon vapors/fumes/odors, including formaldehyde, not captured by the chemical source capture system, and replenishing the salon with a “fountain flow” of fresh air. We also recommend use of our “Dust Plus” HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) filters designed to specifically trap salon vapors/odors and dust, preventing them from entering the cold air returns and recirculating throughout the salon.

It’s quite simple, and will take approx. 10 minutes to assemble. Easy to follow assembly instructions including video are provided.

The hood should be position within 1 ft. of the clients head during all three keratin hair smoothing sequences, including product application, blow drying and flat ironing.

Yes, the CSCS is designed to be used with one client. Multiple keratin smoothing treatments can be provided safely at the same time if each stylist is properly using a CSCS.

Yes, we’ve designed the unit to all simple filter changing. No unit disassembly or messy carbon module refilling is necessary. Stylists love our easy plug & play filter changing method.

Our Filter Change Convenience Plan price for change of the unit’s three filters is $185.

The CSCS is available both in black and white

Yes! Minimize chemical inhalation during all hair chemical services including color, bleach, permanent waves, hair removal, and even hair spray.

Aerovex Systems “Three Zone Protection” approach to proper salon ventilation includes room air purification and proper HVAC filtration, in addition to source capture ventilation, ensuring the safety & comfort of your valued staff and clientele.

Nail Source Capture System (NSCS)

We recommend changing the filters on a schedule every 4 or 6 months. Aerovex Systems recommends its Convenience Plan to schedule your filter shipments & changes. Typically, the filters should be changed after 500 hours of use. As a back up to remind you when its time to change the filters, all Healthy Air™ nails source capture systems are equipped with an electronic control panel featuring our exclusive filter change indicator which will alert you to change the filters when necessary. We have taken the guess work out of the appropriate filter changing frequency, rather than waiting for the performance of the unit to diminish, like some manufacturers recommend to determine when to change the filters.

Healthy Air™ nail source capture systems are built from the ground up specifically for nail technicians. Other manufacturers units were originally designed for welding, soldering or other industrial applications, and have not taken into consideration the unique design feature requirements of the professional nail care industry. We have sound levels below conversational speech, easy filter changing which eliminates unit disassembly and avoids messy carbon module emptying & re-filling, wheels and your choice of a round or rectangular capture hood provided as standard equipment at No Extra Charge, and the electronic control panel features a filter change indicator. Patented Healthy Air™ technology utilizes eHepa™ filtration holds and destroys microorganisms, loads slowly, and has less airflow restriction than standard Hepa filters.

The sound level is quiet and below conversational speech ( Low speed – 51 dBa, Medium speed – 53 dBa, High speed – 56 dBa). As a comparison, conversational speech is60 dBa. We have made the low sound level a priority in the design of our unit. Other manufacturer’s sound levels approach 60 dBa, and nail techs are then required to raise their voices to carry on a conversation with their client when using. There is no need to equip our unit with an exhaust silencer as some manufacturers resort to as a means to quiet down their units originally designed for other heavy industrial applications. Some manufacturers don’t provide you with their unit’s noise levels, or if they do, they only indicate levels when operating on low speed.

New building code regulations require source capture systems to be provided at each nail station to protect the breathing zone of the nail technician. This requirement must be met or the salon will not be allowed to open, per the International Building Code, (IMC Dec. 2012). Aerovex Systems recommends taking a comprehensive “Three Zone Protection” approach towards proper salon ventilation. This includes use of our “The One That Works™” salon room air purifier designed specifically to remove nail vapors/odors and dust not captured by the source capture system, and replenishing the salon with a “fountain flow” of fresh air. We also recommend use of our “Dust Plus” HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) filters designed to specifically trap nail salon vapors/odors and dust, preventing them from entering the cold air returns and recirculating throughout the salon.
