World Bicycle Relief was founded in 2005 by F.K. Day and Leah Missbach Day in response to the Indian Ocean Tsunami. By partnering with aid organizations in Sri Lanka they have distributed over 24,000 bicycles, empowering survivors. Today, they have assembly facilities in six African countries and bikes on the ground in 13 countries across Africa and Southeast Asia.
Aerovex Systems is a proud supporter of World Bicycle Relief and their efforts to transform individuals and their communities through the Power of Bicycles. In doing so we can envision a world where distance no longer prevents access to healthcare, education and economic opportunity.
